Located in the heart of Kendall Square, the Boston Marriott Cambridge is our official overflow hotel for the New England McNair Undergraduate Research & Creative Scholarship Conference (NE-MURCS). Just across the Charles River from downtown Boston and steps from the Kendall/MIT Red Line station, the hotel offers attendees a convenient home base for the conference and an easy way to explore both Cambridge and Boston.

The Boston Marriott Cambridge puts you in the middle of one of the most vibrant academic and innovation communities in the country. The hotel is located in Kendall Square, surrounded by MIT, biotechnology and technology companies, restaurants, shops, and public transportation.

Guests may reserve their rooms by either calling Marriott Central Reservations at 1-800-228-9290 or using the online reservation link no later than October 8, 2026, to receive the discounted rate for the room block.

Best of all, the Kendall/MIT MBTA Red Line station is just steps from the hotel, making it easy to travel throughout Cambridge and into downtown Boston without needing a car.

Hotel Check-In for Participants Under 21

To make travel and arrival as smooth as possible, participants under the age of 21 may check into the hotel independently if the required Under-21 Check-In Waiver Form has been completed and submitted to the hotel (found here).

Important Information:

  • Participants under 21 do not need a staff member or 21+ individual physically present at check-in if a signed waiver form is on file.

  • A 21+ individual must still be listed on the reservation and provide a credit card for the room.

  • The signed waiver authorizes the hotel to allow participants under 21 to check in on their own.

This policy is designed to support participants who may be traveling independently or arriving separately from staff and group leaders.
